‘Nobody’s Hero’ from Alain Guiraudie will open this year’s Berlinale Panorama

Festival organisers have announced that Alain Guiraudie’s film Nobody’s Hero will open this year’s Panorama side-bar at this year’s Berlinale. The festival will take place in a slightly shortened version in February.

The French film is written and directed by Guiraudie and stars Noémie Lvovsky, Jean-Charles Clichet, Iliès Kadri, Doria Tillier, and Renaud Rutten.

The official synopsis is as follows:

Clermont-Ferrand, central France. Médéric (35) meets and falls in love with middle-aged sex worker Isadora, who is married. When the city center is the scene of a terrorist attack, Selim, a young, homeless guy, provokes a wave of paranoia by taking refuge in Médéric’s building. Sympathizing with Selim, crazy about Isadora, Mederic’s life suddenly turns into a mess…

Peter von Kant by François Ozon Opens the 2022 Berlinale on 10th February with this year’s festival running for a week to the 16th, rather than the traditional 10 days.
