The Batman, Matt Reeves’ upcoming superhero movie, is reportedly clocking in at around 175 minutes, according to reports – that’s five minutes shy of the 3-hour mark, making it one of the longest superhero movies, and the longest Batman film to date.
The film released in around six weeks time and the promotional campaign is really starting to hot up with posters already adorning buses and huge marquees around the world.
Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell lead the cast of the film, which releases on 4th March.
As well as the news of the running time, director Reeves also revealed Michael Giacchino’s theme song from the film, which has now hit all of the major music streaming services for your aural pleasure. It’s an absolute cracker, too.
Reeves posted links to the music on his Twitter early on Friday.
My brilliant friend @m_giacchino wrote this theme before I ever shot a frame of @TheBatman. I can still remember listening to it in my car with #DylanClark before we went onto the stage to do #RobertPattinson‘s screen test. We both had chills. We’ll have more on The Batman as we approach that release date.
Here’s the theme.
