Kevin Costner to step behind the camera once more to direct new western, ‘Horizon’

Kevin Costner is gearing up to step behind the camera once again to direct a brand new western titled Horizon, so reports Deadline. The film will reportedly start shooting in Utah later this year with Costner also starring in the film and producing.

Shooting is scheduled to kick off in August of this year and, according to the trade, ‘chronicles a multi-faceted, 15-year span of pre-and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American west.’

Costner is currently appearing in the acclaimed Yellowstone over on Paramount, and last appeared on the big screen in the really rather good Let Him Go a couple of years ago. He last directed back in 2003. That project was the also-brilliant Open Range.
