Interview: Craig Fairbrass on his latest film, the powerful prison drama ‘A Violent Man’

Craig Fairbrass leads the cast of the brand new British film A Violent Man which comes to cinemas and on-demand services in the UK this week. Fairbrass is a commanding presence once again in this single-location, extremely intense story brought to the screen by the producers of the acclaimed Villain and Boiling Point, and debut director, Ross McCall.

We caught up with Craig this week to talk about his new film, the third in an unofficial trilogy – a trio of films following Villain and Muscle which see him break the mold in a stunning, powerhouse performance that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Supremely violent from the outset, but utterly captivating in every sense – from the stunning visuals and soundtrack, through to its exceptional supporting cast, A Violent Man is not one you forget in a hurry.

We’ve already spoken to breakout Steven Odubola about his role, and Ross McCall in an in-depth 30 minute chat, but here we spend some time with the film’s leading man, talking everything from embodying the character of Steve in A Violent Man, through to his recent career as well as his continued foray into video game acting, plus lots more.

You can check out our chat in the player below and catch A Violent Man in select cinemas and on demand services from 4th February.
