Here’s a treat, a first look at the brand new film Kandahar, the Ric Roman Waugh’s action film starring Gerard Butler and Navid Negahban set for screens soon. This looks/ sounds great, though we’ve only seen the two images released below.
The film has wrapped after a seven-week shoot in Saudi Arabia’s desert region of AlUla and Jeddah. The film is produced by Thunder Road Films and Capstone, with MBC, which is also co-financing and handling rights.
‘Kandahar sees Butler star as Tom Harris, an undercover CIA operative, stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. He must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding the elite special forces tasked with hunting them down.
