Check out this trailer for The Watcher, a film that premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival back in January. The movie has a release date confirmed stateside with other territories bound to follow.
Maika Monroe leads the cast of this one, and it will bow in cinemas on VOD and in cinemas from 3rd June.

Here’s the synopsis: Julia uproots her life in America to accompany her husband to Bucharest, Romania. As she spends more time alone, she notices a shadowy figure staring from the opposite block. Her curiosity turns to fear when she hears of a murderer in the area.
We said:
As thrillers go, Watcher is fairly by-the-numbers, though the change in setting and the timely topics ensure there’s enough to satisfy most viewers. Exactly the type of film that thrives in a streaming setting, Watcher offers plenty of distraction from the world at your door.
I also caught it and was pleasantly surprised. I think audiences will too.
