Netflix has debuted a trailer for its upcoming documentary Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story has landed on YouTube ahead of the release next month. The series focuses on the late British entertainer who was exposed by hundreds of sexual abuse allegations after his death over a decade ago.
Steve Coogan is set to play Savile in a new BBC limited series The Reckoning later in the year, but this one will land first, releasing on the Netflix platform from 6th April.
Netflix has a logline for the release.
Jimmy Savile was one of the United Kingdom’s most beloved TV personalities. Shortly after his death in 2011, an investigation prompted more than 450 horrific allegations of sexual assault and abuse, with victims as young as 5.
