Apple debuts the trailer for anthology series ‘Roar’

Apple has got in touch to debut their trailer for the upcoming anthology series, Roar. This one starts to roll out on the streamer starting in April and features a superb cast over the eight episodes.

Based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern, the series is the first to be released under Roar creators and co-showrunners Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive’s (“GLOW”) overall deal with Apple TV+.

The log line is as follows:

Liz Flahive and Carly Menschs darkly comedic anthology series, executive produced by Nicole Kidman and Bruna Papandrea, features eight insightful stories of what it means to be a woman today.

Roar is an anthology series of darkly comic feminist fables. Spanning genres from magical realism to psychological horror, these eight stand-alone stories feature ordinary women in some pretty extraordinary circumstances. In “Roar,” women eat photographs, date ducks, live on shelves like trophies. And yet, their struggles are universal.

Among the cast is Nick Kroll, Judy Davis, Alfred Molina, Daniel Dae Kim, Jake Johnson, Jason Mantzoukas, Chris Lowell, Ego Nwodim, Griffin Matthews, Peter Facinelli , Simon Baker, Hugh Dancy, Jillian Bell, Bernard White, Justin Kirk and more.

All eight episodes will be available on Apple TV+ from 15th April.
