New clip from Kate Dolan’s festival fave ‘You Are Not My Mother’

Here’s a brand new clip from Kate Dolan’s genre film You Are Not My Mother, a FrightFest debuting film coming to the screen through Signature Entertainment later this year. The film has also played at TIFF, DIFF and the GFF FrightFest back in February.

You Are Not My Mother

You Are Not My Mother is a creepy and unsettling psychological thriller deeply rooted in Irish folklore. This highly-anticipated chiller – directed by Kate Dolan – debuted at Toronto International Film Festival to great acclaim before successful plays at DIFF and FrightFest at the GFF in 2022 and stars Carolyn Bracken (Dublin Murders), Paul Reid (VikingsRitual) and Hazel Doupe (Calm with Horses). Char’s mother, Angela, has inexplicably disappeared. All that remains is her abandoned car. When she returns home without explanation the following evening, it becomes clear to Char and her grandmother, Rita, that something is amiss. She might look and sound the same but Angela’s behaviour has become increasingly frightening, as if she has been replaced by a malevolent force. As Halloween night looms, a night steeped in ancient myth and legend, Char realises that she is the only one who can save her, even if it means potentially losing her forever.

This looks great. The new clip is titled ‘Bathroom Creep’ and can be viewed in the player below.

Signature Entertainment and FrightFest Presents release You Are Not My Mother in UK Cinemas and Digital 8 April.
