‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ finds a new director

Some big news for a Monday is that the fourth movie in the Beverly Hills Cop movie has found itself a new director. Deadline is reporting that Mark Molloy is the man for the job making his feature directing debut with the gig.

A fourth film in the beloved series led by Eddie Murphy as Detroit cop Axel Foley has been in development for quite some time with Bad Boys For Life helmers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah the last names attached to direct. They’ve since gone on to direct Batgirl over at Warner Brothers.

The fourth movie now has a home over at Netflix after they purchased the sequel rights a couple of years ago. Malloy, a respected commercials director takes the reigns of his first big feature with the movie, plot details for which haven’t been disclosed as yet.
