A debut trailer for the true-crime series The Staircase has been released by HBO. The drama stars Colin Firth and Toni Collette and arrives on the streaming platform HBO Max stateside in May.
Inspired by a true story, The Staircase explores the life of Michael Peterson (Colin Firth), his sprawling North Carolina family, and the suspicious death of his wife, Kathleen Peterson (Toni Collette). The eight-episode Max Original limited series, was created by Antonio Campos.
The series arrives on HBO Max from 5th May with a UK date set on Sky Atlantic on the same date – that’s Thursday May 5th at 9pm.
