IFC Films has dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller Watcher, which had its world premiere at Sundance back in January. The film comes to the screen from Chloe Okuno and had some extremely positive reviews come out of the Utah festival earlier this year, not least from us. The film rolls out starting in US cinemas from 3rd June.
The logline is as follows:
As a serial killer stalks the city, Julia – a young actress who just moved to town with her boyfriend – notices a mysterious stranger watching her from across the street in this terrifying thriller.
Maika Monroe leads the cast of the film, which we said is ‘exactly the type of film that thrives in a streaming setting, and offers plenty of distraction from the world at your door.’
The film also hits VOD on the same date stateside, so viewers can make that choice.
Here’s the new promo.
