Some big news for fans of Marvel Studios’ small screen output in that Daredevil looks like he’s making his way back but this time over on streaming service Disney+. Variety reports the news that Matt Murdock will appear in a new original series with Matt Corman and Chris Ord set to write the script. The duo is best known for their work on the series Covert Affairs.
Variety reports the news of the planned series, but there’s been no official confirmation as yet from Marvel Studios themselves. That obviously isn’t surprising as they don’t comment on titles in development, as per the report.
Charlie Cox played the role of Murdock/ Daredevil in the original Netflix series for three seasons, the last one being in 2018. He also appeared in Spider-Man No Way Home last year, while Vincent D’Onfrio’s Kingpin character was seen in the Hawkeye TV series that bowed at Christmas. It isn’t clear if they will return for the new series, but we’re assuming that at least Cox would return as the title character.
