Liotta was shooting a new movie titled Dangerous Waters when he passed. He also has a number of movies still set for release in various stages of production.

Lorraine Bracco, who starred with Liotta in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 mafia masterpiece tweeted: “I am utterly shattered to hear this terrible news about my Ray. I can be anywhere in the world & people will come up & tell me their favorite movie is Goodfellas. Then they always ask what was the best part of making that movie. My response has always been the same…Ray Liotta.”

As well as Goodfellas, Liotta had memorable roles in the likes of Fields Of Dreams and more recently The Many Saints Of Newark, a prequel to the iconic mafia TV series The Sopranos.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.
