If big dinosaurs wreaking havoc on modern-day planet Earth aren’t your thing this weekend, then why not try the absolutely brilliant Swan Song, a drama starring legendary character actor Udo Keir. We have an exclusive clip from the film, which you can view below.
I caught this film more than a year ago at the SXSW festival and absolutely loved it. Keir is magnificent as the lead as retired hairdresser Pat Pitsenbarger, who escapes the confines of his small-town nursing home in Sandusky, Ohio after learning of his former client’s dying wish for him to style her final hairdo. Soon, Pat embarks on an odyssey to confront the ghosts of his past – and collect the beauty supplies necessary for the job.
My original review from the festival said that the film is a “most fabulous, vibrant and sometimes deeply moving true story with an outstanding, career-best performance from Udo Keir.” I still stand by every word. It is magnificent. Read my full review here.
So pleased that Peccadillo Pictures release this later this week. I urge you to check it out.
Watch our exclusive clip below.
Swan Song is in cinemas on 10th June.
