A sequel to Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife is in the works. The news was announced earlier this month at CinemaCon but now that movie has an official release date. The film is set to land in cinemas from 20th December 2023, so reports Deadline.
The planned sequel will be the fifth in the series, which started all of the way back in 1984. The new one will see director Reitman return, along with writer Gil Keenan. At this time there are no plot details available.
‘Afterlife’ was released towards the end of 2021 and managed to pull in around $200 million at the global box-office.
More on the new film as it comes in.
