Here’s the very first trailer for upcoming film Tár, which is set to premiere at thisyear’s Venice Film Festival in August. The film stars Cate Blanchett, Noémie Merlant, Nina Hoss, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner and Mark Strong, and is directed by Todd Field (Little Children).
The film is set in the international world of classical music, and centers on Lydia Ta?r, widely considered one of the greatest living composer/conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra.
The feature will release in January following its festival debuts.
