‘Nanny’ trailer: Sundance film sets sights for Prime Video

Prime Video has just unleashed the new trailer for Nanny, the Sundance-debuting film set for the streaming service very soon. The film will first receive a showing at TIFF next month before getting a cinema run in November. It will then head to Prime Video on 16th December.

Nikyatu Jusu makes her directorial debut with the film.. Here’s a little more about it.

In this psychological fable of horror, Aisha (Anna Diop), a woman who recently emigrated from Senegal, is hired to care for the daughter of an affluent couple (Michelle Monaghan and Morgan Spector) living in New York City. Haunted by the absence of the young son she left behind, Aisha hopes her new job will afford her the chance to bring him to the U.S., but becomes increasingly unsettled by the family’s volatile home life. As his arrival approaches, a violent presence begins to invade both her dreams and her reality, threatening the American dream she is painstakingly piecing together.

The film has been getting some pretty decent word of mouth since that Sundance premiere all those months ago and soon it will get the wide audience it deserves. November screenings kick off stateside from 23rd November.

Here’s the trailer.
