Trailer for animated feature ‘My Father’s Dragon’ with Jacob Tremblay

A full trailer has been released for the upcoming Netflix animated feature My Father’s Dragon, which features the voice of the extremely talented Jacob Tremblay. This one will get a world premiere at the imminent BFI London Film Festival in October before hitting the streaming service in November.

The film comes to the screen from director Nora Twomey (The Breadwinner), and Cartoon Saloon (The Secret of KellsSong of the SeaWolfwalkers) and is inspired by the Newbery-honored children’s book from author Ruth Stiles Gannett.

Struggling to cope after a move to the city with his mother, Elmer runs away in search of Wild Island and a young dragon who waits to be rescued. Elmer’s adventures introduce him to ferocious beasts, a mysterious island and the friendship of a lifetime.

Also contributing their vocal talents are Gaten Matarazzo, Golshifteh Farahani, Dianne Wiest, Rita Moreno, Chris O’Dowd, Judy Greer, Alan Cumming, Yara Shahidi, Jackie Earle Haley, Mary Kay Place, Leighton Meester, Spence Moore II, Adam Brody, Charlyne Yi, Maggie Lincoln, Jack Smith, Whoopi Goldberg, and Ian McShane.

The release date is November 11th, so make sure that’s plastered all over your streaming diaries.
