Having played at this month’s BFI London Film Festival and, before that, Venice, where it had its world premiere, here’s a new look trailer for Florian Zeller’s The Son.
Adapted from Zeller’s stage play of the same name, the film stars Hugh Jackman and Vanessa Kirby as partners whose new baby is thrown into disarray when his ex-wife Kate (Laura Dern) turns up with their teenage son, Nicholas. Anthony Hopkins, who won the Academey Award for his work in Zeller’s The Father also has a role in this.
This one is well-positioned for the incioming awards season, releasing into US cinemas in New York and Los Angeles on November 25th before expanding nationwide on December 16th.
