Jeff Goldblum is reportedly being lined up to play the wizard in the film version of the hit musical, Wicked. The news comes via Empire who say that Goldblum will play Oscar Zoroaster Diggs in the film, or indeed films, as the story is being split across two features. The first will hit cinemas at Christmas 2024, with the other set to land a year later.
Ariana Grande is playing Galinda/Glinda in the film, while Cynthia Eriva is Elphaba. Jonathan Bailey will playl Fiyero. Jon M. Chu is directing the movies with Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz writing the screenplay.
