One of the films on the hot list from the recent fall film festivals is Darren Aronofsky‘s The Whale featuring a career-best performance from Brendan Fraser. The film is going to open in cinemas in the U.S. in December through A24 with UK audiences having to wait until February.
The film will no doubt feature heavily in the year’s best-of lists and the forthcoming awards season, so prepare yourselves. This looks absolutely brilliant. The movie is based on the acclaimed play by Samuel D. Hutnter with the screenplay written by Hunter miself.
Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton are also among the cast.
From Darren Aronofsky comes The Whale, the story of a reclusive English teacher who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter.
While the new teaser doesn’t offer much in terms of footage, it certainly whets the appetite.
