A24 has delivered the first trailer for Ari Aster’s new film, Beau Is Afraid, which is led by Oscar-winning actor Joquin Phoenix. The film is Aster’s first film since the superb Hereditary and the unsettling Midsommar.
Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zoe Lister-Jones, Armen Nahapetian, Parker Posey and Patti LuPone also line up among the key cast of the new film, which is set for cinemas in April.
Not too much is known about the plot of the movie as yet, but the film is said to span multiple decades with the story taking place in an alternative present. Variety says that the film is about ‘a paranoid man embarks on an epic odyssey to get home to his mother.’
Looking forward to this one.
Here’s the trailer.
