Following its debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where we caught it, here’s the latest trailer for Brandon Croneberg’s latest film, Infinity Pool. Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth, Cleopatra Coleman, Jalil Lespert and Thomas Kretchmann lead the cast of the feature, which will come to cinemas in March.
Here’s the logline.
While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgärd) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. Guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.
We called Infinity Pool a heady mixture of excess, lack of morality, and eye-catching beauty – another win for Brandon Cronenberg. ‘Its three out of three is an astonishing achievement for a young filmmaker and presents further proof that the future of the Cronenberg name is in very capable hands.’
