A sequel to this year’s brilliant action movie Plane is on the way. The follow-up will be led by Mike Colter and be titled Ship. The news was reported by Variety who add that it is not clear as to whether Gerard Butler will reprise his role as Captain Brodie Torrance from the first movie.
The trade says that the film is far from production with writers and directors currently being courted with the package being touted in Berlin by sales agents.
We loved the first film, a great surprise at the start of the year. It’s an entertaining actioner that really doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s tons of fun.
The follow-up will follow Colter’s character Louis Gaspare, who manages to commandeer a fishing boat and escape the Philippines, which is where we left him at the end of Plane.
We’ll bring you more on Ship as we hear it, but for more plot details and info, hit the link above for the original article over at Variety.
