A wonderful first trailer for the superb Past Lives, which just played in Berlin after debuting at Sundance, has just premiered online for all to see. This perfectly captures the essence of this beautiful film, one I cannot wait to see again.
Greta Lee, Teo Yoo, and John Magaro lead out the cast of the film which has a story that spans two decades. The narrative follows two people from South Korea who lose contact after one of the moves away at the age of 12. Twelve is the key number here as we catch up with both of them twelve years later, and then another twelve years after that – two key periods in both of their lives.
I gushed over this in Berlin just a couple of days ago (read my review here), and even now that I’m back home, I’m still thinking about this stunnin g debut work from Celine Song.
