Ryan Reynolds set for ‘Boy Band’ film with Shawn Levy

Reynolds in The Adam Project

Ryan Reynolds is set to reunite with his The Adam Project and forthcoming ‘Deadpool 3’ director Shawn Levy on a boy band-themed film, titled Boy Band. The Hollywood Reporter says that Reynolds is on board to star and produce and Levy to produce the film and potentially direct, dependent on schedules.

The project is being set up over at Paramount Pictures and will reportedly be based on a screenplay that Reynolds co-wrote with Jesse Andrews.

Plot details are being kept under wraps at this early stage, but the trade says that Reynolds is eyeing a late 2023/ early 2024 shoot date. This would see him work on the project post-Deadpool 3, which is set to start filming in the UK this coming summer. In that film, Reynolds returns as the title character with Hugh Jackman also returning to the screen as his iconic Wolverine character.
