First ‘Penguin’ footage revealed via debut teaser/ featurette

As it unveiled its Max service, which is set to roll out in May, Warner Bros. also revealed some footage from the in-production ‘Batman’ spin-off The Penguin. Led by Colin Farrell, the eight-parter is still shooting over in New York and isn’t due on screens until 2024. That didn’t stop Max, though, and these early scenes look epic.

The Penguin is said to take place shortly after the events of The Batman Farrell back in the role of the title character. The official guides say that the series revolves around a fight for control of Gotham’s underworld.

Craig Zobel (Mare of Easttown) is directing the first two episodes and executive producing with Cristin Milioti, Clancy Brown, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell among the cast.

Here’s the teaser.
