First look clip at Guy Ritchie’s incoming ‘The Covenant’ with Jake Gyllenhaal

A first clip for Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant has been released by MGM. The film is about to get a stateside theatrical release with the movie bound for Prime Video in the UK later this year. Jake Gyllenhaal leads out the cast of the film as Ritchie directs from a screenplay he wrote with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies.

The film follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life. When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.

The Covenant will be released in the US on 21st April.
