After lighting up the screen in last summer’s Top Gun: Maverick and then the epic Devotion, Glen Powell will next tackle hurricanes in sequel/redo Twisters. The actor is in talks to star opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones in the movie, which is planned for release in the summer of 2024.
Minari‘s Lee Isaac Chung is directing the film for Amblin Entertainment and Universal with Frank Marshall producing. The film will be co-financed by Warner Bros.The Revenant‘s Mark L Smith wrote the screenplay for the motion picture which is said to be a new chapter in the series which kicked off with 1996’s Twister, which was directed by Jan De Bont.
Exact plot details appear to be being kept under wraps on the movie but we’ll bring you more details as we get them.
