The iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return to action movies for his next project. The legendary star will tackle Breakout, a new film from Expendables 4 helmer Scott Waugh. Deadline reports the announcement of the project which sees Arnie play a character named Terry Reynolds.
According to the trade, the story is as follows:
“When his stepson is framed and sentenced to 25 years in a foreign country, Reynolds makes a daring jailbreak to save him and must overcome an overzealous prison warden in a race against time to avoid capture and flee the country.”
A shoot is scheduled to take place in Eastern Europe later this year, so says the same report. Sales will kick off in Cannes in a couple of weeks.
Schwarzenegger will next be seen in his first action series, the Netflix-bound FUBAR, which hits the streamer next month.
