A full trailer for the Gran Turismo movie has been released online. Neill Blomkamp directs the upcoming feature which is actually based on a true story. The cast includes David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Archie Madekwe, Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner and Djimon Hounsou and will come to cinemas later this year.
The film tells the story of Jann Mardenborough, and is the ultimate wish-fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.
Jason Hall and Zach Baylin wrote the screenplay for the Gran Turismo movie with Doug Belgrad, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Dana Brunetti producing.
It is currently slotted for a release on August 11 and is Blomkamp’s first film since 2021’s Demonic.
