Trailer: British crime pic ‘Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance’ with Craig Fairbrass returning as Pat Tate

Signature Entertainment has released the very first trailer for the upcoming crime film Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance. The film. the latest in the very popular series arrives in cinemas in September.

This, the sixth film in the series, reportedly has a streamlined revenge plot, set mainly in early 90s Soho, with the vibe very much being like Get Carter, The Long Good Friday. Craig Fairbrass leads the cast of the film, which is directed by Nick Nevern.

Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass, Cliffhanger) embarks on a rampage to avenge his loyal and trusted footsoldier’s violent death, venturing beyond his comfort zone of Essex into the dark side of 90s Soho to track down the villain responsible. Set to execute his revenge, Tate will stop at nothing even as the world around him starts to explode.

Also starring Jamie Foreman (Layer Cake), George Russo (Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins), Ben Wilson (Wednesday), Stephen McCole (Vigil), Sadie Frost (Bram Stoker’s Dracula), Tara Fitzgerald (Legend), ArrDee, Josh Myers (Fighting With My Family), Emily Wyatt (The Last Heist), Geoff Bell (RocknRolla), Anthony Skordi (The Offer) and Phil Davis (Vera Drake), Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance is directed by Nick Nevern (Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins) from a screenplay by Andrew Loveday and Jason Maza. 

Speaking about the film, Nevern said: “The scale and cinematic vision has been pushed to the limit with this film. I am extremely proud of it and the crew that worked tirelessly to make it happen. It is without doubt the biggest Footsoldier film yet, with a standout cast that showcases the very best in British independent film.”

Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance arrives in cinemas on 15th September.
