The very first teaser trailer for True Detective: Night Country, the next season of the US crime series, has been released. Jodie Foster and Evangeline Navarro lead the cast, along with John Hawkes, Christopher Eccleston, Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Anna Lambe, Aka Niviana, Isabella Star Lablanc, and Joel D. Montgrand.
We also have a street date for the new show which has been revealed as 15th January on Sky Atlantic in the UK, just 24 hours after the stateside debut. Sky also has a habit of screening the episodes at exactly the same time as the US broadcast, usually around 2am.
The new season takes place in the Arctic where eight men who work operating the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish with no explanation. Issa Lopez is showrunner, writer, and director of all of the episodes.
