And, as the leaves turn orange and Halloween approaches, we’ve come up with 5 reasons to see Wicked this Autumn, whether it’s your first time or your eighth!

  1. The incredible new cast

With the newest cast being introduced earlier this year, Wicked has some incredible new talent! Even if you have seen the show before, the new cast is a reason to see it again and celebrate the world of Oz in a totally new way! With Phantom of the Opera’s Lucy St. Louis as Glinda and Les Misérables’ Alexia Khadime as Elphaba, the witches alone make 2023’s Wicked stage all the more exciting!

  1. Enjoy a Wicked Afternoon Tea at The Clermont Hotel, Victoria

Just around the corner from the Apollo Victoria Theatre is The Clermont Hotel, Victoria which serves an incredible Wicked-themed afternoon tea! Though there are incredible food options surrounding the theatre, nothing prepares you for a theatre trip like attending a specially-themed afternoon tea with witch-inspired cocktails and green cakes! The Wicked Afternoon Tea includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options – perfect for your pre-theatre trip.

  1. Cosy up in the theatre with your friends

Though the wonderful world of Wicked is fantastic to experience no matter the season, as the weather gets cooler its always fun to cosy up in the theatre after a morning or day in London with friends! And, with the theme of the show surrounding friendship (and female friendship especially) its always great to see the show with your best friends or family.

  1. Relive the magic

Whether it’s your first time seeing Wicked or you’ve been multiple times before, reliving the magic and the story of the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is always fun! And with October being such a magical month, it makes sense to see Wicked in all of its glory this Autumn, 17 magical years on!

6. There’s an additional date for October half-term!

You heard that correctly, there is an additional matinee performance on Thursday, 26th October, to give families an extra opportunity to see the production in addition to Wednesday and Saturday’s matinees. Due to the large auditorium at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, Wicked’s in house booking team can accommodate large family groups, giving families even more reason to enjoy all the shows offered at half term!
