‘Gassed Up’ trailer: New British film focusses on a group of moped gang thieves

Gassed Up trailer

The first Gassed Up trailer has arrived. The forthcoming film comes to the screen from the producers of the excellent Boiling Point film and A Violent Man (two solid British films that really must be checked out if you haven’t managed to do so as yet). Set in London, the film follows a group of young men in a moped gang, who, desperate to make ends meet, have turned to petty theft.

Written by Archie Maddocks and Taz Skylar, it features a stunning young cast, including Stephen Odubola (Blue Story), Taz Skylar (One Piece) and singer Mae Muller, as well as a host of recognisable names, including Harry Pinero, Yung Filly and Ms Banks.

The Gassed Up trailer is our first proper look at the film which will be released in 2024 through Vertigo Releasing in the UK.

At the centre of the story is 20-year-old Ash (Odubola) who is trying to support his younger sister and help his struggling mother. Fighting to balance his pure intentions and the allure of fast cash, he and his friends soon get drawn into the web of an Albanian crime family. He must choose between loyalty to his friends and family, and the draw of a fast, thrilling lifestyle.

Rupert Preston, Bart Ruspoli, Hester Ruoff, Stefan D’Bart and Ed Caffrey are producers and Ward Trowman is co-rpducer.
