A Lawmen Bass Reeves trailer has just arrived. The series is the new one from Yellowstone and Tulsa King creator Taylor Sheridan and will be released onto the Paramount+ streaming service very soon. This one is apparently set for the small screen in November.

The series revolves around Bass Reeves, a slave turned American law enforcement official and the first Black deputy U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi River. Reeves is played by David Oyelowo and is just part of a huge cast that includes Dennis Quaid, Forrest Goodluck, Lauren E. Banks, Barry Pepper, Grantham Coleman, Demi Singleton, Donald Sutherland, Shea Whigham, and Garrett Hedlund.

Official synopsis is as follows: Lawmen: Bass Reeves will bring the legendary lawman & outlaws of the Wild West to life. Reeves, known as the greatest frontier hero in American history, worked in the post-Reconstruction era as a federal peace officer in the Indian Territory, capturing over 3,000 of the most dangerous criminals without ever being wounded. Lawmen: Bass Reeves is an anthology series with future iterations that will follow other iconic lawmen and outlaws who have impacted history.

Sheridan is executive producer on the series along with Oyelowo. It was created by Chad Freehan. It will start to stream on Paramount+ from 5th November.
