The first Pain Hustlers trailer has arrived with Emily Blunt and Chris Evans leading the cast of the new Netflix film, arriving on the streaming service soon. David Yates (director of some of the Harry Potter films and the more recent Fantastic Beasts series) is helming this. It is written by Wells Tower, based on the book by Evan Hughes.
Catherine O’Hara (Home Alone), Chloe Coleman, Amit Shah, Aubrey Dollar, Willie Raysor, and Andy Garcia are also among the cast.
Upon losing her job, a blue-collar woman struggling to raise her daughter takes a job at a failing pharmaceutical start-up, only to get involved in a dangerous racketeering scheme.
Liza (Emily Blunt) is a blue-collar single mom who lost her job and is now at the end of her rope. A chance meeting with pharmaceutical rep Pete Brenner (Chris Evans) puts her on an upwards path economically but dubious path ethically as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme. Dealing with her unhinged boss (Andy Garcia), the worsening medical condition of her daughter (Chloe Coleman), and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing forces Liza to examine her choices. Pain Hustlers is a sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others do out of greed.
Theatrical showings of this film will take place from the 23rd October ahead of the Netflix small-screen debut.
The Pain Hustlers trailer can be viewed below. The film itself will land on the streaming giant from October 27th following a week-long cinema run.
