‘The Nun II’ coming to premium digital mid-October, physical mid-November

The Nun II digital release

Warner Bros. has been in touch to let us know that The Nun II digital release has been set for this coming week, October 16th (UK). The horror film sequel will be made available for premium rental on that date with physical media available within just a few weeks on November 20th.

The film is, of course, the sequel to the 2018 supernatural horror directed by Michael Chaves and starring Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, and Bonnie Aarons.

The Nun II is the latest in the $2 billion-grossing The Conjuring universe and is set in 1956 France, where a ‘priest is murdered. An evil is spreading’. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.

The Conjuring universe is the highest grossing horror franchise in history with $2+ billion worldwide. Globally, four of The Conjuring universe titles have earned more than $300 million worldwide each (The Nun, $366 million; The Conjuring 2, $322 million; The Conjuring, $320 million; Annabelle: Creation, $307 million), and all seven have each grossed more than $200 million. The Nun is the top-earning film in the franchise, with more than $366 million worldwide.

The Nun II digital release lands ahead of the 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD bow. Bonus features for the 4K are listed below.

“The Nun II” 4K UHD and Blu-ray contain the following special features:

·       Demons in Paradise – featurette (5:35)

·       Handcrafter Nightmares – featurette (7:28)
