‘Freud’s Last Session’ trailer: Anthony Hopkins as the famous founder of psychoanalysis

A teaser trailer has arrived for Freud’s Last Session, a new film that will see Anthony Hopkins play the Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis. The film will play in the new year in the UK with LA and New York cinemas getting a release in December. An AFI premiere is set for this week.

Here’s the synopsis:

On the eve of the Second World War, two of the greatest minds on the twentieth century, C.S. LEWIS and SIGMUND FREUD converge for their own personal battle over the existence of God. FREUD’S LAST SESSION interweaves the lives of Freud and Lewis, past, present, and through fantasy, bursting from the confines of Freud’s study on a dynamic journey.

Matthew Goode plays Lewis. Matt Brown directs from a screenplay by Mark St. Germain. It is based on the book The Question of God, written by Armand Nicholi.

The teaser for the film is below. This one hits US screens first on 22nd December.
