A trailer for Peacock’s Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie has just been released from the stateside streamer. The feature film, a spin-off from the popular TV series Monk, stars Tom Shalhoub as the famous detective as he take on one last case.
The official longline reveals: Monk returns to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.
The original series ran on USA Network in the US from 2002 to 2009 with Shalhoub leading the cast. The series once held the record for the most-watched scripted drama episode in cable television history.
The new movie reunited original stars Ted Levine (On Becoming a God in Central Florida, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Traylor Howard (Boston Common), Jason Gray-Stanford (Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Painter), Melora Hardin (The Office, Transparent) and Hector Elizondo (Pretty Woman, Chicago Hope).
It arrives on 8th December on Peacock.
