Watch the brand new trailer for the biopic ‘Tchaikovsky’s Wife’

The film played Cannes and will hit cinemas on 29th December.

A new trailer has arrived for Tchaikovsky’s Wife, a biopic coming to UK cinemas at the end of December through Sovereign.

According to the press notes, the film tells the tumultuous relationship between the most famous Russian composer of all time and his wife. It is Kirill Serebrennikov’s latest film, following the Palme d’Or nominated Petrov’s Flu from 2021.

Odin Lund Biron (Petropolis) stars as Pyotr Tchaikovsky and with Alyina Mikhailova (Love Them All) as Antonina Miliukova.

The official synopsis is as follows:

The story of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s marriage, one of the key points in his biography. His decision to change his life by getting married to put an end to rumours caused a serious mental crisis. When he subsequently made up his mind to separate from his wife, it devastated the young woman and ultimately drove her crazy.

The film hits on 29th December.
