It was announced just last week that Ricky Gervais’ new stand-up special would be a very special Christmas present for us all, releasing on the platform worldwide on the big day itself. Gervais has been touring Armageddon all over the world for a year now and earlier this spring, the British comedian entered the Guinness Book of Records for the highest gross for a single stand-up performance ever. He netted a reported £1.41 million for his show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The logline is as follows: Ricky Gervais dishes out controversial takes on political correctness and oversensitivity in a taboo-busting comedy special about the end of humanity.
Looking forward to this one.
The special, recorded at the iconic London Palladium, now has a debut clip, released by the streaming which you can check out below.
Armageddon will be available on Christmas Day.
