Hulu has debuted a trailer for actor and filmmaker Jake Johnson’s directorial debut, Self Reliance. The film will land on the streamer soon with Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Morales, Andy Samberg, GaTa, Emily Hampshire, Mary Holland, Boban Marjanovi?, Christopher Lloyd, and Wayne Brady among the main cast.
This one premiered at SXSW earlier in the year and will land on Hulu stateside on 12th January. I can’t seem to see an info for international release as yet, though.
Here’s a bit about the movie.
When a middle-aged man (Jake Johnson, “New Girl”) is invited into a limo by famous actor Andy Samberg, his dull life takes a thrilling turn. Johnson is offered a chance to win a million dollars in a dark web reality TV show, where assassins from all over the world attempt to kill him for 30 days. The catch? He can’t be killed if he’s not entirely alone, leading him to recruit an unlikely team to help him survive.
