New ‘Jurassic World’ film reportedly on the way

A new film in the ‘Jurassic World’ series is on the way, according to a new report over at The Hollywood Reporter. The news comes with the additional information that David Koepp has been hired to pen the screenplay.

Not much more is known about the potential movie as yet, other than Patrick Crowley and Frank Marshall are producing with Steven Spielberg executive producing.

Early word on the street is that the film could even go into production later this year for a 2025 release.

Koepp wrote the screenplays for the original Jurassic Park movie and its sequel, The Lost World. His latest written work, Presence, just premiered at the in-progress Sundance Film Festival.

The ‘Jurassic’ movies, of which there are six, have grossed a whopping $6 billion at the global box-office so its no surprise that Universal wants to bring back the dinos at least one more time.
