Two more adaptations of Harlan Coben novels have been ordered by Netflix after the huge success of Fool Me Once, which hit screens over the festive period.

According to Deadline, novels Missing You and Run Away are next on the list for the streamer to dramatise. I’ve read Missing You quite recently and it is a bit of a cracker.

Victoria Asare-Archer is writing Missing You, while Fool Me Once scripter Danny Brocklehurst will adapt Run Away.

Some details on the plots of both of these from the official Harlan Coben website.

Run Away

She’s addicted to drugs and to an abusive boyfriend. And she’s made it clear that she doesn’t want to be found.

Then, by chance, you see her playing guitar in Central Park. But she’s not the girl you remember. This woman is living on the edge, frightened, and clearly in trouble.

You don’t stop to think. You approach her, beg her to come home.

She runs.

And you do the only thing a parent can do: you follow her into a dark and dangerous world you never knew existed. Before you know it, both your family and your life are on the line. And in order to protect your daughter from the evils of that world, you must face them head on.

Missing You revolves around ‘detective Kat Donovan who stumbles across her estranged fiancé on a dating app, forcing her to delve back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder.’

Coben has sold an astonishing 80 million books all over the world and is known for superb stories featuring a variety of characters, his plots often intertwined with jaw-dropping, you-didn’t-see-it-coming twists.

Fool Me Once, the latest adaptation features a cast that includes Michelle Keegan, Joanna Lumley, Richard Armitage, and Adeel Akhtar. It is now streaming on Netflix.
