Netflix has released the trailer for Shirley, a Regina King-led true story set to land on the streaming service soon. The film sees King play Shirley Chisholm and follows her boundary-breaking 1972 presidential campaign.
Lance Reddick, Lucas Hedges, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christina Jackson, Dorian Crossmond Missick, Amirah Vann, André Holland, and Terrence Howard, are also among the cast.
In the film, Shirley Chisholm makes a trailblazing run for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination after becoming the first Black woman elected to Congress.
