‘Bad Boys 4’ is coming to screens a week earlier than we thought

When Bad Boys 4 had its production halted because of the strikes last year, we expected a summer 2024 release date to be pushed, especially as filming only resumed this past week. Well, it seems that isn’t the case at all as Deadline reports that the action sequel is coming, in the United States at least, to screens a whole week earlier. The Bad Boys 4 movie comes hot on the heels of the hit Bad Boys For Life, the last movie in the hit franchise produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Sony Pictures

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are returning to direct Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in the highly anticipated sequel which now has a U.S. street date set for 7th June. Chris Bremner (The Man From Toronto, The Wedding Ringer) wrote the screenplay for the film.

A Bad Boys 4 movie looks likely to light up the year’s box office but its new date, which is instead of the previous June 14th bow, puts it up against the new version of The Crow from Rupert Sanders.

We are still awaiting a plot synopsis and an official title for the new Bad Boys 4 movie, but it has been confirmed that  Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núnez, Jacob Scipio, Eric Dane and Ioan Gruffudd are among the cast.

Shooting for pickups and the remainder of the bits they didn’t bag before last year’s strike is taking place on the streets of Miami at least for the rest of the week.

More soon, including whether the UK bow will line-up with the US debut.
