A teaser trailer for the upcoming MAX series The Penguin has been released by Warner Bros. in the lead up to its release later this year. Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, and Michael Zegen lead out the cast of the highly anticipated series.
The series is an off-shoot from Matt Reeves’ The Batman and focuses upon Farrell’s Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), who appeared in the film back in 2022, with the action set one week after the events of the movie.
The eight part series will run on MAX stateside with news of a UK distributor to be announced in the near future.
The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro. Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, The Penguin is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho are under an overall deal. Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer.
