There were rumours that Scarlett Johansson was about to join Gareth Edwards’ planned Jurassic World movie all of last week and now it looks like those rumours appear to be true. According to Deadline, Johansson is said to be in talks to join the new movie which is set to kick off shooting very, very soon.
The film already has a release date set for the 2nd July, 2025 so production will have to kick off in the next few months.
The multi-billion-dollar franchise is set to go in a whole new direction with this, presumably the first in a new series of movies over at Universal Pictures with The Creator director Edwards at the helm of the ship for this, the first one.
None of the original cast members from the previous six movies are set to return so if the Johansson casting is indeed true, she will be the first to line-up to battle some prehistoric monsters in a brand new adventure, the story for which, is still unknown. David Kopek wrote the screenplay.
